Racines is the exciting new project of talented young Santa Barbara winemaker, Justin Willet, Étienne de Montille of Domaine de Montille in Burgundy and Rodolphe Péters of Pierre Péters in Champagne. This superb debut Chardonnay is a blend of sites across the Santa Rita Hills, with the majority of the fruit coming from the Wenzlau Vineyard. It is peachy, citrussy and lightly tropical, with subtle nuances of honeysuckle and chalky minerality. Light to medium-bodied this is a beautiful Chardonnay that should continue to enthral over the next decade. Label and Notes: Web
